  1. Are Andra Jewels’ products hallmarked?

    Yes, where hallmarking is required. However, the weight of almost every piece we manufacture falls beneath the requirement for hallmarking, but nevertheless the pieces are stamped confirming 9ct gold and sterling silver status

    Additionally, if a product contains a cubic zirconia stone, this is marked on either the earring’s post or on the pendant bail.

  2. Does Andra Jewels comply with EU nickel release directives?

    Yes. All Andra Jewels’ SKUs are submitted for testing to the Sheffield Assay to ensure compliance with European Directive 94/27/EC. Certifications of compliance are held at Andra Jewels’ registered office.

  3. Does Andra Jewels source its gold from ethical sources?

    Yes. Andra Jewels has certification from each of its bullion suppliers as to the origination of the gold it uses.

  4. Does Andra Jewels source its diamonds from ethical sources?

    Yes. Andra Jewels has certification from each of its diamond suppliers that the diamonds it uses have come through the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KPCS).

  1. What carat of gold does Andra Jewels manufacture from?

    We typically manufacture from 9ct gold, but we also produce product in 10ct, 14ct and 18ct gold as required.

    We obtain certification from all our bullion suppliers which confirm this and it is available for inspection at Andra Jewels’ registered office.

  2. What purity of silver is used in Andra Jewels’ silver products?

    All of Andra Jewels’ silver products are manufactured from 925 Sterling Silver.

  3. What is rolled gold?

    Rolled gold, also known as "gold-fill" or "metal core" is composed of a solid layer of gold, bonded under heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass.

    Gold-filled items are up to 100,000 times thicker than regular gold plating, and up to 25,000 times thicker than heavy gold electroplate.

  1. Does Andra Jewels offer a guarantee with its products?

    Yes. This described in full detail within Section 5 of the Terms & Conditions of Supply. Subject to the points set out in that clause Andra Jewels warrants goods for a 12 month period from the date of delivery.

  2. Does Andra Jewels accept returns?

    Andra Jewels will happily accept returns within the Warranty Period as defined in the Terms & Conditions of Supply, subject to the criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions of Supply.

  3. How are goods packed?

    All our products are packed according to the specification demanded by our customers. Typically, earrings will be packed in pairs in small plastic bags before being grouped in larger bags. These bags are then packed in to padded boxes for dispatch to customers.

Design and manufacture
  1. How often does Andra Jewels update its range?

    We are constantly updating our range. We try to continually be innovative with our designs, use of stones and choice of metals.

  2. Does Andra Jewels offer a design facility?

    Yes.  Andra Jewels has a dedicated design team which enables our customers to work together with us to achieve designs which work for them from both a design and cost perspective. Having the knowledge from the in-house manufacturing facility ensures designs are beautiful from a design perspective, practical from a manufacturing perspective and realistic from a commercial perspective.

  3. Does Andra Jewels custom-make tools for particular designs?

    Yes. Our dedicated tool-shop custom builds tools for samples and then to enable mass production, fully functioning tools for the designs our customers are looking to achieve.

  1. Do your prices alter depending on the gold fix?

    Yes. The prices on Andra Jewels’ website are connected to the gold and silver spot prices and are updated each day, so the prices on offer to our customers will fluctuate depending on the real-time price of silver and gold.

  2. Are prices stated net of VAT?

    Yes. All prices stated on the website are stated net of VAT.

  3. Do you have a minimum order?

    Yes the minimum order is for £50.

  4. Does Andra charge for postage?

    Postage and delivery costs £5 for orders between £50 and £100. Postage and delivery is included for orders above £100.
